Hans received his Phd. at Delft University of Technology (Information Systems department), his Master of Science in Business Administration (MScBA) at Nijenrode Business Universiteit in 1994 and his Bachelor of Science in ICT at The Hague University of Professional Education (Informatics) in 1993. He has published more than 100 articles in specialist journals and international magazines, and is the author of several books such as 'Rapid Enterprise Design', 'Enterprise Ontology, a Human-centric approach', 'Eenvoud in Complexiteit' and 'Jonge Jongens'. Furthermore, he is professor at the Antwerp Management School in Belgium and was European research director of the Standish Group in Boston (USA).

Hans is lecturer at the Police Academy of the Netherlands, Nyenrode Business Universiteit and professor at the Antwerp Management School in Belgium. In addition, Hans is chairman of the advisory board of DUO (Dienst Uitvoering Onderwijs) of the Ministery of Education, Culture and Science and the IT-committee of Social Insurance Bank (Sociale Verzekeringsbank, SVB).

IT-expert, mediator, arbitrator and negotiator

Hans is regularly engaged as an IT expert when conflicts need to be resolved in or out of court. He is frequently involved in matters of dispute settlement, such as participating in arbitration, mediation and expert reports. Hans is a qualified Expert of the Court in The Netherlands (LRGD; foundation of the national register of judicial experts), member of NVBI, Dutch Association of Certified Informatics Experts (Nederlandse Vereniging van Beëdigde Informaticadeskundigen) and Europe (EEEI; European Expertise and Expert Institute). He is a MfN- and ADR registered mediator and arbitrator of the Nederlands Arbitrage Instituut in Rotterdam. Since 1996, he has been involved in over 200 cases of arbitration, mediation and expert reports.
